Every guide to London recommends the same five landmarks, photographed from the same angle, queued for at the same miserable hour. Here is a shorter, more honest list, the parks with actual grass instead of crowds, the bakery that opens before the influencers wake up, and the market that has not yet been discovered by anyone with a ring light.
None of these require booking weeks in advance. All of them are better with a proper cup of tea in hand and no itinerary to keep.
